Dr. Wasif Raza is a distinguished and seasoned General & Colorectal Surgeon with over 12 years of rigorous experience in the surgical field, including 8 years in the United Kingdom.

He obtained his MBBS from Garhwal University, India. He pursued his General Surgery training and was awarded MS in General Surgery by Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University in Uttar Pradesh, India.

Dr Raza gained valuable experience during his residency at notable hospitals in North India, including Lok Nayak Hospital in New Delhi, Era Hospital in Lucknow and PGIMER & Dr RML Hospital in New Delhi, India.

He completed a Minimal Access Surgery Fellowship and served as a Consultant and Assistant Professor of Surgery at Era University & Hospital, Lucknow, India. Following rigorous assessments, Dr. Raza was accepted into the prestigious Fellowship and Residency Program in Colorectal Surgery by the Royal College of Surgeons of England, UK. He later achieved the esteemed FRCS in General Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. Dr. Raza pursued a 3-year MCh degree in Colon & Rectal Surgery from the University of East Anglia in England to further enhance his expertise. In 2023, Dr. Raza was awarded the Fellowship of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).

His primary interests include diagnosing and managing colon and rectal cancers, inflammatory bowel disease, performing laparoscopic surgeries for gallstones and appendicitis, and treating hernias and proctological conditions such as hemorrhoids, fissures, and fistulas. He is also proficient in performing upper and lower GI endoscopies.

Dr. Raza is actively involved in research, with several publications in esteemed research journals. He has conducted numerous audits and has a strong background in academic teaching. His contributions to the field extend beyond clinical practice to include significant advancements in surgical education and quality improvement.
